  4.    This version (over the 0.96 Release) features new COMM routines, no
  5.    longer requiring a fossil driver (read the dox) and is intended to
  6.    solve conflicts that have arrisen with QEMM errors, lockups and the
  7.    like. There is no guarantee that this copy will work for you. I've
  8.    had very puzzling and strange results lately. The same copy working
  9.    perfectly on one system and yet crashing all the time on another.

  11.    There is obviously some kind of EMS memory problem here. The problem
  12.    lies not in the actual programming, but perhaps in the way the overlays
  13.    are compiled, the units linked etc.. I will try to overcome this major
  14.    shortcomming. Hopefully, this version is a step in the right direction.

  16.    IN THE EVENT THAT THIS REDUCES YOUR SYSTEM TO A FAR WORSE STATE, YOU
  17.    SHOULD BACKUP EVERYTHING YOU GOT BEFORE TRYING THIS ONE OUT.

  19.    Note to users upgrading from 0.96. You will need to run the FILENEW.EXE
  20.    file to convert your old files to the new 0.97 file system which features
  21.    1-10 line file descriptions, FILE_ID.DIZ recogniztion, etc.. lame for some
  22.    (like me) but a desired option for others.. so what can ya do. The multi-
  23.    line thing is totally optional, so you can keep your board with one line
  24.    descriptions and it'll be the exact same as it was before.
